Hello everyone! Welcome to Nic's Art Gallery!

This is my special workshop where I can make lots of drawings and paintings. I painted this large circle welcome sign and I have hanging in my art room. I painted an artist, which looks like me, with my dog Max. Around the outside, I have all the colors and tools that help me make my pictures.

Bailey's Big Birthday Party

This heart shaped painting is called Bailey's Big Tie-Dye Birthday Party! Everyone's invited to my little niece's birthday party. This is a painting of our whole family at her party, we all are wearing tie-dye shirts. My niece really likes hearts, pink and purple, tie-dye, and Unicorns. So that's why I made her a special unicorn with wings. I made this painting like she was having a party with everyone's favorite purple dinosaur, it's from Kideo's "My party with Barney". It's an older Barney video that makes your child the star of the episode.

Kaiden

Here's a new painting and it looks just like my little nephew, this is Kaiden! I painted this picture of him for his 8th birthday. I went to Semiahmoo art class and I painted it to look exactly the same as the photo on my phone. My Dad and my sister helped me a little to choose which photo to use.

Elizabeth

This picture was for Elizabeth, It has a bunch of fun things we did together. We used to do Musical Theater when I was at Semiahmoo and during the lockdown we did lots of things on Zoom. We sang songs, played guessing games and made funny faces with all our friends just like the Honker Ducky Dinger Jamboree. The best part was doing painting classes with Elizabeth and her Mom.

Katherine

This is a picture I drew for Katherine, she used to be my teacher of Musical Theater at Semiahmoo House. She moved from here to Vancouver Island and now I join her for music on Zoom instead. She is welcome to come back any time she wants to visit, so I drew this picture to help remind her of us.

Blue Streak Certificates

Nic Robins the artist here again with another collection of paintings I made. These are the paintings for my Blue Streak team in 2022. I missed skiing with my team during Covid but now we all stayed safe and got the skiing back again. This time, now that we are back on Grouse Mountain, I made a bunch of Blue Streak team certificates. I made each certificate with my huge collection of canvases that are all different shapes. I gave one to everyone on my team and made them all first place because me and my friends are all winners!

Whistler Mountain / Celebrate 10 Years in Habitat

These are the very specials painting I made for Stephanie's 10 year anniversary at Habitat for Humanity. Stephanie started working there in 2013, which was before me. I have been working at habitat since 2018. I just met Stephanie and painted these pictures for her as a Thankyou, she gifted me a trip to Whistler for helping at habitat for so many years. I got to stay in Whistler Village and it was great. I have been to Whistler in the summer but I've never been there in winter or skied on Whistler before. We explored the two mountains and checked out all the gondola's and chair lifts, they have so many!  I had a great time skiing and staying there in the winter but I think that riding the train and going there in the summer is my favorite part. Who knows, maybe some day you can go to whistler mountain and go on an adventure too!

Midnight

This is Midnight, Midnight is Tim's dog who likes to visit my Auntie Dor. He was a black lab just like Max. Unfortunately, Midnight has passed away so I made this picture for Tim so he would always remember him. Tim has a new dog now, it is a brown lab named Rusty.

Elephants from Around the World

This is a very special painting that I made for Karen. She really likes elephants and likes to learn about them so I painted her these families of elephants. You probably know about elephants; they all have big grey bodies, four thick legs, and a really long nose called a trunk. But look closely at these two pictures of elephants from different countries. In South Africa, the elephants have pointier ears and very specials teeth called tusks. In India, the elephants have smaller ears and no tusks. They are used to celebrate and walk in parades. I know an Indian elephant named Toothbrush from the show Zoboomafoo.

Sea Animals from Hawaii

These two paintings I painted for my Mom and Dad. These are special paintings because they are small and magnetic, we put them on the refrigerator.  My Mom, Dad and I really like seeing all the animals when we go on Vacation. We liked watching all of the sea turtles when we visited the Island of Hawaii. We also liked watching for dolphins and whales, we usually see them when we're on the cruise ships but this time we saw them in Hawaii too!

Sea Turtles and Little Bird

These are the two paintings I did by joining a video art class. The first painting I did was the picture of the sea turtles and the second time I painted a picture of a bird. I liked the turtle painting because it reminds me of the ones in Hawaii. I like to paint lots of types of birds, this little bird is sitting on the branch looking for berries.

Memories of the Playground

This is a picture I drew of a memory from a long time ago.
It is from when I was a little kid and I was playing with my Cousin, Beth, on the see-saw at Bear Creek Park. We were playing at the park with all my family including my Grandma, Aunt and Uncle. You can tell that in this picture everyone was younger. It was so long ago that it was before Dominick was born and before I met Christie and Emma and definitely before Kaiden and Bailey were born too.

I made a painting I made of my Grandma Sylvia, that I made to show Beth. It is from years ago when Grandma used to watch me and Beth when we were little kids.

School Activities

Here are some picture of some really fun school activities.

Imagine, if you were going to school, which would you like to do?

Lesson #1: Letters of the Alphabet

Lesson #2: Numbers with the Counting Organ

Lesson #3: Shapes at the Shape Shack

Lesson #4: Colors and Patterns

Protect Our Earth!

This is a large circle painting of our world, The Earth! I used my imagination to think of what new and exciting paintings I could paint on a big circle canvas. I decided that the Earth would be perfect! I want to share my paintings with boys and girls all over the world and make sure we help protect the Earth like by recycling.

I bet you can think of a lot more of ways to help protect the Earth too!

Humming Birds

Terrific! Here is a picture of a humming bird and a poem.

I like to paint humming birds to make people feel better when they feel sad.

Happy Halloween!

It was Halloween at Semiahmoo. I made this picture for my friend Ivy. She doesn't like Halloween so I made a nice picture to help her feel better. She is a bit afraid of the dark, so I showed her when the lights are on its just us - her friends from Semiahmoo. The picture has Me and Ivy with all our friends visiting the Count in his Spooky Castle.

Nic's Favourite Video Games!

These are my four favourite video game systems. My favourite systems are Nintendo 64, Playstation, Nintendo Game Cube, and Wii U and Wii. There are four paintings, and those four canvas' I painted them on are so small. I painted these small canvas's so fast, the GameCube took me 2 days to paint and the other 3 canvas's took me only 1 day.

Campfire Beach Party

I made this painting for Christie's birthday. She loves campfires and being at the beach, so I made a painting of a Campfire Beach Party. This beach is in Oregon at Lincoln City, I added all of my family with Christie and her parents enjoying the beach and the campfire.

This painting it is kind of like a painting I made for my mom. I made mom a picture of a sunny beach at Whidbey Island. So First, I made a beach during the daytime and now I made the beach at night. Here are the two Beach pictures together.

Hip Hop and Paddleboarding

This painting is for Michelle's daughter, April. I know something special about her, she loves paddle boarding and hip hop dance. I made it for April when she moved to Kelowna to go to school and become a teacher.

Dogs

These are two painting of Maggie and Zeke, they are Michelle's dogs. I made these for Michelle so that she can always have her dogs memories close.

Stuart Little

This is a painting of the two live action movies of Stuart Little.  I made this painting for Tiffany because she loves to watch Stuart Little and so do I!

In the first movie, Stuart meets the Little's family and their cat Snowbell. In the movie he gets his own car to drive and he helps his brother George win the Central Park boat race by steering his model ship called the WASP. You know, he's not just a mouse he's also a member of the family. In the Second movie he meets a little yellow bird named Margalo and learns how to fly a model airplane to help her get away from Falcon.

If you haven't seen these movies you should check them out!

Bunny Rabbit \ Computers and Trains

See these two paintings, I made them for Tiffany's daughter and son. The first painting is for her daughter because she loves bunny rabbits and used to have one for a pet. The other painting is for her son, it shows that he really likes playing on the computer and he also likes trains too!

The Jelly Fish

I've almost forgot this one! I made it in 2020. My dad took it to his office to hang for everyone to see. When I went to H&R block during Easter and I saw Kiersten and Courtney. I saw that it wasn't a big Easter egg they had decorating the office it was one of my paintings. This painting is a jelly fish, I made it following a video.

A Great Day For Learning

This is a painting that I made for my cousin Amy when she was having a new baby. It is a picture of her whole family at the barn dance in Saskatchewan.  It has Amy with Micah, Isla and the new Baby Wesley. I also added Aunty Helen and Uncle Kelly with Patrick, Stephanie and Terry.

This painting is called  "A Great Day For Learning"  because here in the summer it is the perfect day for learning. In the clouds I painted all the activities that our family will sing and teach Wesley as he grows up to help show him how much fun learning can be.

Habitat For Humanity

This is a picture I drew for our Boss Dave from Habitat For Humanity. In this picture, I drew Dave, all of his Builders, my Dad and me as we meet Bob the Builder and his Can do Crew on an exciting Building Adventure! In the Construction Site, make sure you put on your work boots and your hardhats and strap on your Toolbelt because I want you to be safe while we go to work and get the job done.

I had fun having great conversations and doing lots of building jobs with 'The Best of Boss Dave' and 'Bob the Builder's Teamwork at Habitat For Humanity.'

Reader Rabbit: 1st Grade

This picture is one I drew and sent to my teacher Maclayne. In this picture, my friends and I are getting ready for a big show with some friends from Reader Rabbit. To get ready for the show we got all the Music, costume's, scripts, and props. I love putting on shows with my Friends. Hopefully we can go to Musical Theater again soon because "The Show Must Go On!"

Sesame Street: Search and Learn Adventure

This is a drawing I made for drama class. I added in all my Semiahmoo friends and teachers from my drama class.  Also, In the background, I have all the Muppets from Sesame Street. Me and my friends from Drama Class like to dress up and pretend to be other people to put on shows. In this picture, my dog Max is going as Watson and I am dressed like Sherlock Hemlock, the worlds greatest detective!

Disney's Aladdin

This is a painting of the live action movie, Aladdin. I made it for Samantha and her sister Victoria. I painted Aladdin, the Genie, and all the characters. I like that they are in Egypt with the pyramids.

Surrey Storm

This is a baseball painting I made for Emma on her birthday. Emma likes to play baseball and her team is the 'Storm.' I painted her team uniforms and a bat, ball, and glove for her to use at her games. I always like to go watch her games and see which uniform she's wearing. I always look for Emma wearing the number 9 on the ball field.

The Queen Elizabeth Theater

"From Vancouver B.C. in Canada it's the Queen Elizabeth Concert Show!"

My Uncle Bill used to work on the stage lights at the Queen Elizabeth Theater. I think that it would be fun to put on a show with Uncle Bill,  Aunty Lori and my cousin Beth. I would be the host of the show, Uncle Bill would work the lights and switches, Aunty Lori would get to check off the clipboard, and my cousin gets to be the director!

How I make a big Drawing.

First I draw in a few friends, and then I color it in like this!

Whidbey Island

This is a painting I made of Whidbey Island after we went there for a family vacation. I gave it to my Mom for her Birthday.
On Whidbey Island, we loved to sit on the beach listening and watching everything that went by and I saw three ships come sailing in. I loved walking down the beach looking for rocks that are shaped like hearts. I took some heart rocks home and painted them for my family and friends.
We took a ferry over to downtown Port Townsend and we went on a treasure hunt at Fort Casey, I painted them in the background.

Lighthouse

This is a painting that I made for my dad on Fathers Day. This is a painting of the light house and the sun set by the ocean. We tried to copy the same painting we saw on a video. I painted him a light house because it reminded me of being on the cruise ships on the ocean and our vacation to Whidbey Island. We love to watch the sun go down and saw lots of light houses on our vacation.

Gone Fishin’

This is a painting that I made for my Dad on Father’s Day. I followed a video to make a sunset lake and then I painted a silhouette of me and my dad fishing in his boat. I added the shore with a light house and a fish jumping. It reminds me of going fishing with him at Alouette Lake. My dad loves fishing and going on his boat.

Your Heart is as Big as an Elephant

This is a Mother’s Day painting that I painted for my mother. It is of an elephant walking by the water while the sun is setting. I followed the instructions on a video and then I did the same thing. I thought my mom would like it because she loves elephants and the colors pink and purple.
